While the global economic headwinds may be abating, Procter & Gamble is still struggling to recover from market share losses suffered over the last few quarters.

We are anticipating another blowout quarter from Apple that will easily exceed both Wall Street’s consensus expectations as well as the company own notoriously-conservative guidance.

We are expecting another solid quarter with revenues likely inline with Street consensus, but cost savings should deliver better than expected earnings results.

While the economy is showing signs of recovery, we don’t see any catalyst that would cause the company to deliver a monster quarter.

We view management’s earnings guidance as being on the conservative side and expect reported results to be at the high end of their guidance range.

We would expect strong quarterly results and upbeat guidance will lift NSM’s stock price in the near term.

Wall Street’s estimates don’t appear to be taking into account the recent stabilization that we are seeing the economic environment. While Medtronic still faces strong headwinds, we are expecting a relatively flat sequential performance from what we saw last quarter.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2010, we feel that Wall Street’s earnings estimates are too conservative.

We are looking for Procter & Gamble to continue to trend among Dow stocks of delivering better than expected results this quarter.

The decline in consumer spending has significantly impacted their theme park segment, while a weak advertising environment has impacted their media segment.
